Segovia Soul Walk: A Journey of Flow, Faith & Fortitude

For me, holidays are not only about sightseeing, food, music, history and culture. Now don't get me wrong, I definitely love those aspects of travel, however what makes it unique for me, are the sacred pauses, the moments where I find my truest self again.

Every journey becomes a mirror, every landscape a whisper from the Divine. A way of remembering who I am beneath the noise of achievement and responsibility.

It is not about ticking off monuments , it is about walking through energy.

Feeling the pulse of a place, the contrast of its sounds and silence, the language of its light.

Spain gifted me that in Segovia, a city where every stone hums with spirit and story. An ancient city where time seems to fold into eternity, where stone and spirit truly hold hands.

I didnot go there as a tourist. I went as a seeker, I let my heart lead the way and took my own time to reflect, release and affirm.

Flow | The Aqueduct

The Roman Aqueduct
The Roman Aqueduct

The moment I stood before the Roman Aqueduct, I was in complete awe!

Built two thousand years ago, no mortar, no binding, just human genius in perfect balance.

It felt like standing before a masterclass in balance and trust!

I watched the arches rise against the sky and thought, this is what Trust looks like.

No forcing, no holding on, just pure alignment.

Marvelling at this structure, I reflected, "Where in my life am I trying so hard to hold everything, everyone, together?"

The wind kissed my face as if to say - Dear Ekta, you don’t need to hold everything together either. Trust the Divine - the Source

So I whispered softly,

"I release all resistance. I release all the control.

May Grace flow through me just as water flows.”

Lightness | Calle Real

The Cobbled Streets
The Cobbled Streets

I wandered up the cobbled street, past shops that smelled of coffee, sweets, fresh laundry and old dreams.

The sunlight played on the stone walls, and every window reflected something back to me, I could see the world and myself from a different perspective.

I realized how often I carry stories that no longer serve me. Clinging on really hard, as though that were my true identity. Old versions of who I was, or thought I needed to be.

And somewhere between the ponche segoviano cakes and the sound of church bells, I decided to travel lighter, not just through Segovia, but through life.

"Would I feel lighter if I stopped carrying the weight of old stories?"

That question stayed with me all day.

Faith | The Cathedral

Segovia Cathedral - the Lady of Cathedrals
Segovia Cathedral - the Lady of Cathedrals

The Cathedral appeared suddenly all golden and grand, like a Divine Vision.

They call her The Lady of Cathedrals, and standing before her, I understood why.

There was something maternal about her, strong, luminous, endlessly patient.

The Stained glass

Inside, the light poured through stained glass like colored grace.

I sat in stillness, my palms open, my eyes soft.

And I felt it, that subtle reassurance that I am safe to surrender.

Tears of gratitude started flowing, as I heard within,

"My prayers are already answered, just not in ways I can see or understand."

I lit a candle, one for my family, one for my friends, team and colleagues and one for the woman I am BEcoming, and offered it with devotion, a prayer and gratitude in my heart.

Fortitude | The Alcázar

The Alcázar
The Alcázar

The Alcázar rose in the distance like something out of a dream, part fairytale, part fortress. It is said that the Disney castle is inspired by this.

As I walked through its terrace, I could feel my own strength mirrored in those stone walls.

Years of holding, building, leading and yet still standing, graceful and grounded.

At the viewing point, the world opened up in a sweep of green and gold. The valley stretched far and free, and I whispered to the wind

"I love and honor the strength within me that has carried me this far.

And I am ready to claim new horizons with courage and clarity."

It felt like an initiation from doing to BEing, from striving to Surrendering. From planning to Trusting.

Nourishment | The Pause

Later, I found myself in a little restaurant tucked near the cathedral, the air rich with quiet joy from all the locals and tourists.

As I ate, I slowed down completely.

One bite, one breath, one grateful thought at a time.

"This moment nourishes me.

My joy is my prayer."

And I meant it.

Homecoming

When I left Segovia, I did not just leave a city behind. I left behind the old stories and identities, I had been carrying for so long.

I carried with me whispers of water, stone, wind, fire and spirit the five elements of my own BEcoming.

Segovia did not ask me to see her; she asked me to feel her, to experience her and that I did, I loved her the way she loved me.

This is what travel means to me now not an escape, but an embodiment. Not sightseeing, but soul-seeking.

And I returned home with this prayer in my heart,

"I walk in grace.

I trust my timing.

I trust in alignment.

I trust in a Divine Power.

I am home wherever I am"

Sending you Love, Light & Blessings
